Meet Our Staff of Vero Beach Electricians and Technicians

Tony Gervasio, Sr., President

After two years of electrical training in Connecticut, Tony relocated to the Vero Beach area in 1974. He continued his career through an accredited apprenticeship program and earned his electrical contractor’s license in 1979. In 1989 he opened an Indian River office for a large Miami-based electrical contractor. During that time he became one of the first electrical contractors in the country to develop a direct relationship with Vantage Controls, one of the largest manufacturers of lighting controls and home automation products in the world. In 2002 Tony moved to Miami to take the position of Senior Vice-President, Operations, for a firm which has since become a wholly owned subsidiary of the largest electrical contractor in the country. During his tenure in Miami he grew the operations of the business from $35 million per year with two offices, to $65 million per year with four offices. In 2004 Tony became president of the company and was involved in projects such as The Four Seasons, Espirito Santos Plaza and Ten Museum Place, as well as schools, residential and commercial spaces around Florida and the Caribbean. In 2007 he was drawn back to the lovely Vero Beach, where he opened Brite Future Electric.

Anthony Gervasio, Jr., Operations Manager

Anthony began his career in 1999 working at the same firm as his father Tony. He worked through an accredited apprenticeship program and gained a wealth of experience before relocating to Miami with his father to assume the position of Estimator and Assistant Project Manager. He estimated projects in excess of $10 million dollars and assisted in the management of the Four Seasons Hotel as well as several other high-rise commercial projects.

Matthew Grogul, Sr., General Superintendent

Matthew began his carrier in 1980 working on high-end residential construction in New York City. He relocated with his family to Vero Beach in 1993 and worked with Tony at another local firm from 1995-2007. He joined Brite Future Electric in 2007 and has supervised and managed numerous residential projects. Matt is very familiar with the nuances of custom homes and their integrated systems, having worked extensively with lighting control systems such as Vantage and LiteTouch.

Brett McKenzie, Electrician

Brett began his electrical career in 1999 in the state of Florida working mainly in residential construction. Brett joined the firm in May of 2010 and completed his State Certified Electrical Apprenticeship Program in 2011. He works as an electrician on both commercial and residential projects in new construction, remodels, and repairs.

Albert B. Proth, III, Estimator/Project Manager

Albert started visiting the Sebastian area in the summer of 1975 and all of the following summers. In 1987 he completed his final year of high school in Palm Bay and for a short time worked for the Indian River County School Board. Towards the end of 1987 he began working with Tony at a local electrical contracting business. Albert left the area and returned to Pennsylvania in 1989 only to return in 1991 and once again started working with Tony. During that seventeen year span he earned his Journeyman Electrician’s License, attended several training classes for Vantage Lighting Controls and worked his way up to Senior Residential Estimator and Vantage system designer. When that company left Vero Beach in 2008 Albert pursued a career in Project Controls and Estimating for a large labor contract company. Then, once again, in 2012 he rejoined Tony at Brite Future Electric. Today he functions as an estimator, project administrator, and he designs and programs Vantage systems.

In his leisure time Jason enjoys fishing and bowling. In fact just last year, he bowled a perfect, sanctioned 300 game during league play.
